After lexia diagnosis the conclusion was that is no comunication with gearbox ecu. 3 weeks of efforts and waiting for citroen dealership to open after holydays. Today i tried the only thing i did not Result new actuator £950. The garage contacted Citroen because the age and mileage of the car and the problem started just out of warranty. Upshot the nice people at Citroen are replacing the actuator for a large discounted price. Car is now off the road while waiting for a part as the actuator failed while I was on the motorway. The gearbox diff should last much longer (car had done 40,000). The total bill for this job was £2,100, (but included a new 6th gear as they also advised that this was fractured).
